Life gets busy and we often forget to tend to all three of pillars of wellbeing - mind, body and spirit. Taking time each day to simply have the awareness that you want to think, move and open, improves the flow of your 'Chi'. When mind, body and spirit are in harmony, you will experience a flow of energy that is there in each and every one of us. Sometimes we don't feel this flow because we experience a block or a barrier that needs to be released.
Beginning with the mind - we are not our thoughts. It's much easier to let go of negative thoughts when we can become the observer of those thoughts. Notice the negative thought, acknowledge it, and then let it go. If we practice replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, we can experience a shift in perspective and attitude, and suddenly we can be in a place of complete gratitude.
The body is about moving, but it's also about eating foods that are from our earth because nature heals. Our bodies naturally heal when fed real foods, instead of food that's processed or full of chemicals. When our bodies don't recognize the food, then it has to work hard to eliminate the food from our bodies, causing the body to inflame or store fat or develop growths that interrupt the bodies' natural ability to let go and release.
The spirit is all about opening our hearts - which can be sharing emotion with others, or an act of kindness that helps another. The sharing can be in the form of cooking, eating, singing, dancing, crying, laughing...anything that allows you to connect with another. And this 'other' can be yourself, God, your pup, a friend. It is an expression of the truth, and it's not worried about judgement or criticism. It is simply love in its purest expression.
